Wind of Innovation, New Challenges and Changes in the 2025 KBO Futures League

The 2025 KBO Futures League is set to open on March 14.

This year's league is attracting the attention of baseball fans as it foreshadows several innovative changes different from the past.

The league will be divided into two leagues: Bukbu (Hanwha, SSG, LG, Doosan, and Goyang) and Nambu (Sangmu, KT, Samsung, NC, Lotte, and KIA). A total of 650 matches, 118 matches per team (120 matches per team), will be played until Sept. 27.메이저사이트

The opening game on Mar. 14 will consist of five events: Goyang-SSG, LG-Doosan, KIA-Hanwha, NC-Samsung, and KT-Lotte. The start time is 1 p.m., and all games will be held at 6 p.m. from July 8 to Aug. 24 to protect players.

The most notable changes are the expanded application of the automatic pitching determination system (ABS) and the introduction of a check swing video reading test. There are two chances to read, and if the decision is overturned, the chance will be maintained.

The extra-time match will also be held from the 10th inning, and there will be changes in the way batters are deployed. The newly established Futures League championship match will determine the strongest team with a single-round match between the top teams in the northern and southern leagues.

If the game is canceled due to rain or other reasons, it will be organized as a doubleheader the next day, and each game will be played in seven innings. However, doubleheaders will be banned from early March and June to the end of August.

These changes in the KBO Futures League are expected to have a positive impact on baseball development in the future as they aim to protect players and improve the quality of games.
